Helpful Saints is a Christian nonprofit service organization serving Winona, MN and the Greater Winona Area with practical help for homes, properties, families, seniors, vulnerable adults, and community partners.
We help with cleaning, handyman work, yard work, landscaping, fix-it projects, light plumbing help, moving and lifting, errands, rides, organizing, technology help, and many other everyday needs.
Our goal is simple: to show up with honesty, work hard, communicate clearly, serve with excellence, and reflect the love of Jesus Christ in the way we treat every person.

Many people call us because they do not want to call five different places for five different needs. They want someone local, honest, affordable, capable, and willing to help.
If we can help, we will do our best to serve you well. If the job is outside our ability, equipment, safety, or legal scope, we will tell you honestly.

We can help with furniture assembly, shelving, door hardware, loose fixtures, wall patching, small repairs, painting help, basic maintenance, light electrical help, light plumbing help, general fix-it projects, home improvement tasks, and odd jobs around the house.
We are honest about what we can and cannot do. Some jobs require a licensed professional, permit, specialized equipment, or a different kind of contractor.
If a job is outside our current scope, we will say so clearly.
Moving, Lifting, Hauling & Organizing
Some projects are too heavy, too awkward, or too overwhelming to do alone.
Helpful Saints can provide extra hands for practical moving, lifting, and organizing needs.
We can help with moving furniture, carrying boxes, heavy lifting, room rearranging, garage organizing, basement organizing, closet organizing, decluttering, storage area cleanup, hauling assistance, preparing for a move, and cleaning after a move.
Heavy lifting may require more than one worker. We do our best to plan safely, communicate clearly, and protect your home and belongings.

Mileage may apply for rides, errands, deliveries, or jobs outside Winona. We explain this before the job whenever possible.

Helpful Saints does not provide medical care, emergency care, medication administration, bathing, toileting, transferring, or licensed direct-care services unless and until such services are properly licensed, approved, and within our legal scope.

We understand that some people need more than a one-time job. They may need consistent help, patient communication, kindness, follow-through, and someone who will treat them with dignity.
When someone reaches out on behalf of another person, we do our best to listen carefully, understand the situation, clarify what is needed, and determine whether Helpful Saints is able to help safely and appropriately.
Helpful Saints is not trying to replace family, churches, caseworkers, licensed care providers, or emergency services.
We want to become a dependable local helper that works alongside the people already trying to care for others.
Technology Help & Christian Care

Helpful Saints offers patient, practical help with phones, computers, Wi-Fi setup, TV setup, printers, smart devices, website updates, basic troubleshooting, and patient technology instruction.
We explain things clearly and respectfully. No one should feel embarrassed for needing help.
Helpful Saints is also openly and sincerely Christian. We believe practical service is one way to show the love of Jesus Christ.
When appropriate and welcomed, we are happy to offer prayer support, Christian encouragement, Bible questions, faith conversations, free Bible requests, support during difficult seasons, and compassionate service rooted in the love of Jesus Christ.
We do not force spiritual conversations on anyone. We serve with love, respect, humility, and care.

Pharmacist Support, Trained Guidance & Christian Encouragement
Helpful Saints offers more than physical help around the home. We also provide practical support for people who need patience, guidance, encouragement, and someone willing to listen.
Helpful Saints has a licensed pharmacist available to provide pharmacist consultation and medication-related support within her lawful professional scope.
When available and appropriate, this may include medication list review, medication education, medication safety guidance, help identifying questions to ask a doctor or pharmacist, help understanding possible side effects or interactions, and general support for people who feel overwhelmed by their medications.
Helpful Saints does not prescribe medications, diagnose medical conditions, change medications, administer medications, manage controlled substances, replace a person’s pharmacy, or replace a person’s doctor, pharmacist, home care provider, or emergency medical services.
Helpful Saints also has team support with psychology and counseling training for people who need encouragement, emotional support, Christian conversation, practical life guidance, prayer, or help thinking through difficult situations.
This support is not a replacement for licensed therapy, medical care, crisis services, psychiatric care, or emergency services. Helpful Saints does not diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, provide emergency mental health intervention, or replace a licensed mental health provider.
Helpful Saints is openly and sincerely Christian. When appropriate and welcomed, we are happy to offer prayer support, Christian encouragement, Bible questions, faith conversations, free Bible requests, and support during difficult seasons.

How Helpful Saints Works
First, call Helpful Saints and tell us what kind of help is needed. Phone calls are usually the fastest way to reach us.
Then we listen carefully. We ask questions so we can understand the job, the person, the home, the timing, and any safety or special concerns.
Next, we review the scope. Some jobs are simple. Some jobs require more planning. Some jobs may require a licensed professional or a different kind of provider. We will be honest about what we can and cannot do.
If the job is a good fit, we schedule the help and send the right person or team for the work.
Helpful Saints works hard to keep pricing affordable while also paying workers fairly, operating responsibly, and keeping the mission sustainable.
Some services may depend on availability, safety, tools, experience, weather, licensing requirements, insurance, and the size or complexity of the job.
If a need is outside our current ability or legal scope, we will say so honestly and help point you in the right direction when possible.
